Michigan commit schedule: Week 2
Saginaw (Mich.) Arthur Hill at Saginaw (Mich.) Heritage at 7 p.m. on Thursday
This game features Michigan wide receiver commit Brian Cole, who stars for Heritage. This will be the first time Cole will suit up as committed member of U-M’s 2015 class.
Massillon (Ohio) Washington at Massillon (Ohio) Perry at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday
Washington’s kicker Andrew David was the first player to commit to the Wolverines’ 2015 class last June. He also plays quarterback, and is rated three-star prospect.
Oak Park (Mich.) vs. Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech at 7 p.m. on Friday at Wayne State University in Detroit
Cass is lead by four-star running back Mike Weber, who is the latest player to commit to Michigan’s 2015 class.
Wayne (Ohio) Huber Heights at Gahanna (Ohio) Lincoln at 7 p.m. on Friday
Huber Heights 2015 safety Tyree Kinnel has been committed to Michigan since last August. Wayne is one of the top programs from Ohio.
Downers Grove (Ill.) South at Lisle (Ill.) Benet Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday
South’s offensive tackle Erik Swenson was the first player to commit to Michigan’s 2016 class last November. At 6-foot-7, 285-pounds, he is rated a four-star prospect and is one of the bigger players in the Midwest.
Trotwood-Madison (Ohio) at Springfield (Ohio) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday
Michigan 2016 quarterback commit Messiah deWeaver leads Trotwood-Madison. DeWeaver committed to the Wolverines during his camp visit this June.
Chicago (Ill.) Brother Rice vs. Bloomfield Hills (Mich.) Brother Rice at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Wayne State University in Detroit
Bloomfield features future U-M quarterback commit Alex Malzone, who is looking to lead the Warriors to their fourth straight Division 2 state title. He is rated a four-star prospect in the 2015 rankings.
Hamilton (N.J.) Steinhert at Lawrenceville (N.J.) Prep at 3 p.m. on Saturday
Lawrenceville’s Grant Newsome is a load at 6-foot-7, 290-pounds. The future Wolverine offensive tackle committed U-M’s 2015 class in June.
Cleveland (Ohio) St. Ignatius at Indianapolis (Ind.) Lawrence Central at 2 p.m. on Saturday
Darrin Kirkland, who committed to Michigan this summer, will look to start his 2-0 this season versus an always good St. Ignatius team. A 2015 prospect, Kirkland was also named to U.S. Army All-American team in late July.
Philadelphia (Pa.) St. Joseph’s Prep at Chicago (Ill.) Mount Carmel at noon on Sunday
St. Joseph’s Prep’s 2015 lineman Jon Runyan committed to the Wolverines after his camp visit last summer. He is the son of former Michigan All Big Ten lineman Jon Runyan, who played for Michigan in the early 90s.
