| 2008: One of the most talented 2010 safeties in Florida, Marvin Robinson is a two-way player at Lake Region. At running back, he ran for 450 yards and five touchdowns (three rushing and two receiving). At free safety, Robinson had 98 tackles, four interceptions, four blocked punts and two fumbles caused. Robinson was named Second Team FSWA 4A DB. He says he can bench 335-pounds, squat 485 and claims a 34-inch vertical jump.
Robinson says he’d like to major in either business or communications and reports a 3.0 core GPA and is taking the SAT in April. Robinson plans on graduating in December and says he’ll make a decision by then. “I really want to enroll early and play spring ball so I’m graduating in December. I’ll probably take a few visits and commit during the season.”
Robinson: “I fill the gap well and can play sideline-to-sideline too. I’m also very versatile and can run the ball too. I have good hands and play very intense.”
“I want to be more vocal on the field and more of a leader,” he admitted. “I want to break on the ball better and get faster overall.”
