| Biography: |
| Waverly head coach Devin Pringle had this to say about Carson to me last winter, before he transferred to Renaissance: "Carson Butler is incredible. We bought him up to the varsity as a sophomore midway through the season because we were blessed with three gifted senior running backs. He still ended up rushing for over 150 yards in each of his last two games. He's a freak of nature. By the end of the season he was starting at Fullback and inside linebacker. He's 6'5, 228 and runs a 4.6 forty. He has an incredible combination of size and speed. He's still growing. He could end up 6'5, 260 before he's done.
We haven't seen a combination of size and speed like him at Waverly since (former MSU star and current NFL star WR) Muhsin Muhammad, and Carson is ahead of Muhsin at the same stage. He has a 2.5 GPA and has to work at academics. He's a definite, no-brainer, Division 1 player at the very highest level. I've never seen a kid with his combination of size and speed. |
