Michigan had fallen off the consideration list for the Cincinnati Winton Woods linebacker recently, but a conversation has the Wolverines back on his mind.
Antonio Poole
, the nation’s no. 14 overall outside linebacker, had seen Michigan fall from his list due to a lack of offer. However, the Cincinnati Winton Woods prospect has changed his tune slightly.
“Well since it’s summer time, I was thinking I would hit one or two camps,” Poole told
GoBlueWolverine
. “I’m probably going to Ohio State’s this Sunday. And I was thinking of going to another camp, and if I do another one I’d be going down to Michigan.”
The Queen City product got a chance to chat with some of the Wolverine coaches, and they were adamant on how a camp visit could benefit him.
“Yes sir, I talked to them. They just told me that wanted me to come down to camp because there was a possibility I could get an offer from them. So I might come down if I get a chance too.”
Poole’s intentions would be to camp either June 20th or the 21st.
While the Wolverines would certainly have to offer to start the catch up process in his recruitment, Poole is relaxed about where things stand.
“All I know right now is things will just work itself out as far as consideration and sorting things out.”
Should Poole make it to camp and earn an offer, the Wolverines would hope to find themselves on a short list heading into the summer.
“I’m kind of close to narrowing it down and I’ve been talking to my family and starting to get things down. It should be real soon.”
