Speculation had been building season the season concluded the Donovan Warren would test the professional waters. Today came confirmation that that’s indeed what he will do.
The 6-0, 185-pounder entered college with the three year plan. He now one step closer to seeing that plan come to fruition.
“He’s officially gone,” Warren’s father Alvin told GoBlueWolverine moments ago. “He told Coach Rod this morning.”
Warren registered his best collegiate season in 2009, racking up 66 tackles (including 43 solos) and four interceptions with one returned for a touchdown. The strength of that performance combined with the prevalent rumors that a rookie salary cap will be a part of the next NFL collective bargaining agreement helped further convince Warren that the time to move on was now.
GoBlueWolverine will have more from the Warren family in the coming hours.
