So far, so good. U-M doesn't get a 2nd quarter TD, but lead 13-7. Here are the first half drives, and stats.
Illinois Possession #1
Illinois took the kickoff to their 18.
On the 2nd play
Juice Williams
ran it to the Illinois 45.
Illinois got a 2nd 1st down to the U-M 45.
Illinois got a 3rd 1st down at the U-M 19.
Illinois got a 4th 1st down at the U-M 6.
On 3rd down Illinois scored the TD at the 8:54 mark.
Illinois 7, Michigan 0
Michigan Possession #1
Daryl Stonum
took the kickoff to their 30.
U-M got a 1st down on a 3rd down pass to
Kevin Koger
to the U-M 47.
U-M got a 2nd 1st down as
Carlos Brown
ran it to the Illinois 40.
Brown ran it for a 3rd 1st down to the Illinois 27.
Tate Forcier
threw it to
Roy Roundtree
for a 4th 1st down to the Illinois 15.
Forcier passed to
Greg Mathews
tor a 5th 1st down to the Illinois 2.
On the next play Brown ran it in at the 3:39 mark.

Illinois took the kickoff to their 19.
Illinois went 3 and out on a Ryan VanBergen

Junior Hemingway
fumbled
the punt and Illinois recovered at the U-M 42.
Illinois Possession #3
On the 1st play Juice ran it to the U-M 27.
There the drive stalled at the U-M 21, and Illinois missed a 38 yard field goal at the :23 mark.
1st Quarter Stats
U-M gained 70 yards, 36 passing and 34 rushing, and had a TD.
Illinois gained 109 yards, 29 passing and 80 rushing (56 on 6 carries by Juice Williams), and had a TD.
U-M had 1 turnover, the fumbled punt by Hemingway.
SECOND QUARTER
Michigan Possession #3
U-M took it at the U-M 21 at the start of the 2nd quarter.
U-M got a 1st down to the U-M 33.
U-M got a Mathews pass-run 1st down to the U-M 48.
There the drive stalled at the 13:45 mark.
Illinois Possession #4
Zoltan Mesko
punted it to the Illinois 9.
U-M got a
TFL
on 1st down, and on 3rd down
Mike Martin
got a
sack
to the Illinois 3 at the 11:50 mark.
Michigan Possession #4
Hemingway took the punt from the U-M 41 to the Illinois 43.
U-M ran for a 1st down at the Illinois 33.
On 3rd down Forcier was sacked back to the Illinois 43, but a face mask moved it to the U-M 15.
Forcier overthrew Mathews on 3rd down in the end zone, and U-M kicked a 28 yard field goal at the 7:15 mark.

Illinois took the kickoff to their 27.
Illinois had a holding call on 1st down, and
Brandon Graham
sacked
Juice at the Illinois 9 at the 5:04 mark.
Michigan Possession #5
Hemingway took the punt at the U-M 46.
On the 1st play, Forcier threw it to Hemingway to the U-M 23.
On the next play Brown ran for -7, then on the next play Forcier ran it 16 ... Moundros ran for the 1st down at the Illinois 21.
Forcier was sacked on 3rd down, and U-M kicked a 41 yard field goal at the 1:35 mark.

Illinois Possession #6
Illinois took the kickoff at their 29.
Illinois went 3 and out,
sacked
by Kevin Leach on 3rd down at their 18, and punted at the :27 mark

Hemingway took the punt at the U-M 12.

Halftime Stats
U-M gained 158 yards, 76 passing and 82 rushing.
Illinois gained 94 yards, 29 passing and 65 rushing.
Forcier was 7-9 for 76 yards.
Brown had 18 carries for 62 yards and a TD.
Second Quarter Only Stats
U-M gained 87 yards, 40 passing and 47 passing, and scored 2 FGs.
Illinois gained -15 yards.
