Freshman Michigan running back Sam McGuffie is transferring.

It's official: Michigan freshman running back Sam McGuffie is transferring. He received his unconditional release from Michigan this morning.

Personal family considerations were the reason, and Sam will enroll in a State of Texas school in January.
