Chandler, Arizona's Dion Jordan is over 6-feet-6 now, and 210 pounds. He tells GoBlueWolverine he has set a Michigan visit. Is this guy actually a wide receiver?
GoBlueWolverine
spoke Thursday evening with
Dion Jordan
(6-6+, 210, 4.6) from Chandler, Arizona.
Do you have an official visit set up with Michigan?
"Yeah, I'm going to the Michigan vs. Penn State game with Marc (CB
Marc Anthony
). I've never been to Michigan before so I’m looking forward to see how things are there."
(note: GBW will have an updated all-fall-visits list up shortly.)
Do you know what your other official visits will be?
"Well, I also want to visit Nebraska (Sept. 15 tentative), Oregon, and Cal."
Arizona is also in it for Jordan, who grew up in Northern California.
Does the fact that Michigan has two tight ends commitments already in this class affect your decision?
"Not really ... I'm going to go where I feel comfortable."
Here's another factor with Jordon: with a 4.6 sec. 40 and a 14.2 110m high hurdles, don't count Jordan out as a college wideout. In fact, Chandler head coach Jim Ewan says, "The upside to Dion is that he could play three spots, tight end, wide receiver or defensive end. He takes pride in doing all three. I think that he will end up a big wideout."
Jordan's teammate, corner Macr Anthony, is also looking hard at Michigan (and Cal), and was a Michigan camper this past summer. So we asked Jordan:
Will Marc's decision affect your decision?
"It really wouldn’t make a difference. But it would be really cool -- and it could happen since we have a lot of the same schools in our final list."
What is your decision timetable?
"Its going to be after my season so I can take all my officials."
