Marcus Dowtin Stars at U-M Camp

Fork Union, Virginia Military Academy Athlete Marcus Dowtin left Wednesday evening after three days at the Michigan camp. GoBlueWolverine reached Dowtin and asked him about his camp experience.

Fork Union, Virginia Military Academy Athlete Marcus Dowtin (6-2, 210) was seen all over the field the past three days at the Michigan camp. Dowtin told GBW:

"The Michigan coaches told me I was a great athlete. I started out working out a linebacker. But then the offensive coaches wanted to see me as well."

The result?

"Today (Tuesday) I ended up playing running back, wide receiver ... even safety."

Dowtin seemed pleased to be viewed as an athlete who can excel at several different spots.

"Yeah, it was nice that they liked me at different positions."

Dowtin is still in the middle of a tour of various college camps.

"I camped at Georgia and Clemson before coming here."

"I'll go to one more camp -- either Maryland or Rutgers."

And so, when asked for a top list of schools, Donwtin responded, "I don't have a top five yet. When I finish camping I'll go home and decide on a top five."
