Shayne Hale, C. Saddler: U-M Jr Day, or Pitt?

Monroeville, Pa., Gateway's LB Shayne Hale and Ath. Cameron Saddler had been planning to attend Michigan's Junior Day this Saturday. But Pitt has been afer them to come to theirs as well -- and the Panthers have offered Saddler as well as Hale at ths point, whereas U-M has only offered Hale. What have the two decided to do?

A couple of weeks ago, Gateway high school linebacker Shayne Hale (6-4, 230) not only received a Signing Day offer from Michigan, but told GoBlueWolverine that he was going to visit Michigan with Gateway teammate and "athlete" Cameron Saddler (5-6, 155) for Michigan’s junior day.

And two nights ago Saddler 'sort've' reconfirmed the U-M visit, saying, "Shayne is making the trip to Michigan, and I'm making the trip with him. We're still not quite 100% sure about it, but we're planning on it."

However, reports have surfaced indicating that the teammates were instead going to Pittsburg’s junior day. GBW caught up with Saddler to get the details of their final weekend plans.

“We were going to go to Michigan’s junior day, but Pittsburgh really wanted us to come. Shayne [Hale] and I have already visited Michigan for a Rose Bowl practice. Also, Pitt has already offered both of us. Since Shayne and I are really good friends and we want to go to college together, we decided to check out Pittsburgh instead this weekend.”
