Michigan coach Lloyd Carr made the announcement public this morning when he spoke to the 'M' Club.

No big surprise there, this was widely assumed to be true long before today's announcement. 

Navarre has started 16 games at QB for Michigan, and despite a sad finish to last season he is on pace to become the Wolverines' all-time leading passer.
