After being asked about the recent
report regarding the misdemeanor domestic violence
charge against starting wide receiver Adrian Arrington, Michigan head coach Lloyd
Carr stood steadfast behind the comments he made to the local media subsequent
to Saturday’s victory over Iowa.
“I made a statement after the game that the facts do not support the
allegation,” Carr said in his weekly Big Ten conference call. “I
maintain that still true and I think it will prove to be accurate in the outcome.”
Carr went on to suggest that the details in the story alleging that Arrington
possibly drove while intoxicated were not veracious.
“As I mentioned, that police report…I think there’s a few
cases down through history where there are inaccuracies,” he said. “That’s
really all I’m going to say on that matter.”
