After being named Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, sophomore wide receiver Mario Manningham received the same honor from USA Today, the publication announced on Tuesday.

Michigan wide receiver Mario Manningham hauled in four receptions, three of which went for touchdowns, during the Wolverines' 47-21 triumph over Notre Dame on Saturday.

It was a close race between Manningham and Auburn safety Eric Brock. Brock made two game-saving plays in the Tigers' 7-3 victory over LSU. Gannett News Service columnist Mike Lopresti and college football editor Erick Smith were the deciding votes, according to USA Today.
