With C.J. Fleming's verbal commitment to Tennessee, the recruiting attention regarding Highland…
Highland Springs Duo Getting U-M Attention
He told GoBlueWolverine on Sunday evening, "I've been talking to (Michigan assistant) Coach Campbell regularly. He's been recruiting me since he came to the school this spring."
Are you interested in visiting Michigan?
"Yes. I plan to make an official visit during the season. We just haven't set the date yet."
Have you ever been to Michigan?
"No I haven't. But I like Michigan because it's a prestigious football program, and a prestigious school as well. And they have produced some great players at my position, cornerback."
Do you have a list of favorites?
"I don't have a top five yet. But I like Michigan, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Tennessee, NC-State, West Virginia, Florida. I plan to visit Ohio State this fall too."
Hill has plenty of scholarship offers at this point.
"I have 15 offers in all. Some other schools that have offered are Virginia, Maryland, Boston College, Louisville and Duke."
What is the strength of your game as a cornerback?
"My speed is my biggest strength. I've run a 4.39 second 40. And my explosiveness."
GoBlueWolverine note: The addition of Hill as a cornerback recruit gives U-M a solid group of CB's in their search for two more to add to Troy Woolfolk.
Besides Hill and fellow cornerback C.J. Flemming (a Tennessee commitment), Highland Springs has a third top skill prospect: Junior wide receiver Harry Lee Daniel. Daniel, a 6-2, 190 pounder who as a sophomore caught 40 passes for 548 yards and 6 touchdowns (and added 5 interceptions as a safety), is considered one of the top junior receivers in the country and is getting serious attention from several major programs already -- including, reportedly, Michigan. And the U-M attention is mutual -- Daniel grew up following the Wolverines. GBW won't go in the record with what was said about Daniel, but definitely keep this name in mind for next year.
