The persistence Marques Slocum has shown while trying to attain a qualifying
test score is a testament to the sheer will and determination he has to become
a Michigan Wolverine. After weathering through multiple tests, a semester at
prep school, and countless hours of tutoring… he made one final attempt
at getting qualified for the fall on June 3rd. After it was over he was confident
he had achieved the necessary score, but it was boosted even more when he received
the results the test he took the month previous. He had increased his point
total by 30, leaving him just 60 points short of qualifying.
"I'm calling in for the results, but I'm not sure when they'll be up,"
said Slocum regarding his most recent test. "I feel real good about it.
I think I passed it."
Should Slocum fall short on his final try, he informed GoBlueWolverine in an
interview earlier this month that he would probably attend prep school for another
semester while he continued his efforts to get the necessary points to qualify.
