Daniel Horton was named team MVP for the second time in his Michigan career
at the program's annual basketball banquet held yesterday at Crisler Arena.
The senior point guard registered career highs in points (17.6), assists (5.27),
steals (1.94), field goal percentage (44.7), three-point field goal percentage
(39.4) and free throw percentage (90.1). He also took home the awards for team
Outstanding Defensive Player, Outstanding Free Throw Shooting, Most assists,
and he shared the Iron Man award with fellow senior Graham Brown.
Brown also had a big night at the dais, accepting six awards for his play in

Michigan head coach Tommy Amaker also announced his captains for the 2006/2007
edition of the Michigan basketball team. Seniors Lester Abram, Dion Harris,
and Brent Petway will share the hone in their final campaigns.
