It was recently reported that offensive lineman Kristofer O'Dowd of Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, Ariz., was getting interest from Michigan, and even had an offer from the Wolverines. GoBlueWolverine.com spoke Thursday with the talented player, and he updated us with his actual list of offers.

Offensive lineman Kristofer O'Dowd of Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, Ariz., already sports offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Nevada, Michigan State, Ohio State, Oregon State, and Texas Tech yet claims no favorites. "Growing up in Arizona there's that factor, but I really didn't grow up liking any one team in particular," O'Dowd said. "I'm just to go through the process and see what happens. I may decide before my season starts, but that's not certain."

A recent report had Michigan on his list of offers, however, that isn't the case. "I went to the Michigan camp last summer," he said. "I sat down with Coach (Lloyd) Carr afterwards and he told me they were pretty interested, but that they had only seen me at the camp. He said they would come out during our spring practices to get a good look."

The 6-foot-5, 280-pound O'Dowd also attended camps at Michigan State and Ohio State. But attending camps in the Big Ten region doesn't necessarily equate to a desire play his college ball in the conference. "I know the Big Ten is a great conference and I wanted to see a different area of the country," he said. "But I am pretty open to everything right now. This summer I'm going to try and get to the Army combine in June, and possibly the Texas camp. I'll also go to the USC camp, and their Junior Day on April 2."

O'Dowd said he is going to be a pre-dental major, and that will be a factor in his decision. "A good dental would be nice as my education is very important," he said. "It is convenient because most of the good schools have dental schools. I am also looking for a school heavy in tradition."

O'Dowd said he is the only junior this year named to the All-Arizona team, and is strictly an offensive player. "I'm pretty versatile on the offensive line, but I think because of my quickness I'll play either guard or center," he said. "I'm not really concerned where I play as long as I'm on the field."
