18 Commits, STILL 2-3 Signing Day Slots Open

Here is the Signing Day eve class so far -- 18 Wolverines commitments, including four Army All-Americans. And how the remaining 3 recruits would fit in -- is a 5th Army AA on the way?

(Note: U-M commitments have moved down from 19 to 18 with the decommitment yesterday of a certain CB)

Recruiting Needs: met and unmet:

Michigan has 19 commitments now, from:
-- One quarterback: David Cone.
-- Two RB's: One RB/Ath. (Enrolled in Jan.): Carlos Brown; and one RB/FB Brandon Minor.
-- One wideout: Greg Mathews.
-- One FB/LB: Obi Ezeh.
-- One Interior O-Lineman: (Enrolled in Jan.) Justin Boren (Scout.com #28).
-- Two Offensive Tackles: Steve Schilling (Scout.com's #12 prospect), Perry Dorrestein.
-- One OL/DT: John Ferrara.
-- One Defensive Tackle: Marques Slocum.
-- One DT/DE: Adam Patterson
-- Two Defensive Ends: Greg Banks, Quintin Woods.
-- Three Linebackers: Brandon Graham (Scout.com #12), Cobrani Mixon, Quintin Patilla.
-- One Safety: Steve Brown (Scout.com #92).
-- One Place Kicker: Bryan Wright.

With eighteen commitments and STILL around 2-or-3 scholarship slots remaining, U-M's remaining needs-and-recruits would seem to be the following kids:
-- a Safety: Jonas Mouton (Scout.com's #48 prospect).
-- and a Defensive tackle: Jason Kates (announcing Monday, Jan. 29), and/or Corey Peters.
