As a freshman, Brandon Naurato has already made quite an impact on the Michigan hockey program. When the Wolverines made the trip to Marquette, Michigan last weekend, it was Naurato's two goals, including the overtime winner, that provided the Maize and Blue with the first road sweep of Northern Michigan University in school history. GoBlueWolverine Magazine recently caught up with Brandon Naurato.
GBW: What is your full name?
Brandon: Brandon Scott Naurato
GBW: Do you have any siblings?
Brandon: I have one brother named Daniel (17) and one sister named Alyssa (13).
GBW: What is your major?
Brandon: Sports Management
GBW: What has been your favorite class at Michigan?
Brandon: Sports Management 111
GBW: Do you have any roommates?
Brandon: Zach MacVoy
GBW: Who is your favorite professional player?
Brandon: Brett Hull
GBW: What is your favorite NHL team?
Brandon: Detroit Red Wings.
GBW: What is your first Michigan memory?
Brandon: I think it’d be scoring in overtime against Northern Michigan University.
GBW: What is your favorite Michigan memory as a player?
Brandon:
It was walking out onto the ice at Yost for the first time. It was awesome.
GBW: Do you have any pre-game superstitions?
Brandon: I don’t really have any superstitions. I tape my sticks and always take a shower before the game but that’s about it.
GBW: What is your favorite arena to play in other Than Yost?
Brandon: Well, Northern Michigan so far. It’s the only one that we’ve played in that I liked.
GBW: What is your favorite food?
Brandon: Pasta
GBW: What is your favorite movie?
Brandon: Goodfellas
GBW: What is your favorite band?
Brandon: 2Pac
GBW: What is your favorite holiday?
Brandon: Christmas
GBW: What is your most embarrassing moment on and off the ice?
Brandon: In the intramural game I forgot to take off one of my skate guards and fell when I tried to come out onto the ice. I can’t really think of anything that embarrassed me off the ice. I’m not easy to embarrass.
GBW: What is your favorite video game?
Brandon: NHL 2006
GBW: What is your biggest fear?
Brandon: I have a fear of heights.
GBW: What kind of car do you drive?
Brandon: A Chevy Tahoe
