Ga. QB David Cone Makes the Call
What separated Michigan from the other schools on his list?
"I felt like it was a good fit for me. Their offense fits me and it's just a wonderful school for me both athletically and academically," He said.
Cone told GBW shortly after he got got the phone with the Michigan staff that his commitment is solid. "I don't think anyone can change my mind about this," he said. "I'm real excited and my family is excited. Michigan is a great school in all areas. I'm probably going to take my official visit for the Notre Dame game, but that's not final yet."
The 6-foot-6, 205-pound Cone came in under the radar for sure, but those who have seen him including GoBlueWolverine.com believe he is yet another steal for Michigan. At the recent camp, he reminded those in attendance somewhat of former Michigan signal caller Elvis Grbac.
Cone becomes the fourth player to accept a Michigan scholarship offer for the recruiting class of 2006. He chose Michigan over Ball State, Eastern Kentucky, and Mississippi State.
