Patilla Makes it Michigan!

GoBlueWolverine.com received a call from linebacker Quintin Patilla of Carman-Ainsworth High School in Flint, Mich., informing us that he had committed to Michgian. Patilla becomes the third player to pledge to the Wolverines for the recruiting class of 2006.

After expressing "mixed feelings" about not receiving an offer at the recent Michigan camp, linebacker Quintin Patilla of Carman-Ainsworth High School in Flint, Mich., said he received the offer in the mail today, and promptly called Michigan Head Coach Lloyd Carr and accepted. "I committed to Michigan today," Patilla said.

Patilla is a 6-foot-2, 210-pound linebacker and is the third commitment for the recruiting class of 2006. GoBlueWolverine.com will have more on the Patilla commitment very shortly.

GBW note: the virtually-unknown Patilla approached GBW at the US Army Combine this past January, and, ala Mister Simpson at the OSU Nike Combine a year earlier, told us to watch out for him -- that he planned to become a Wolverine. Like Simpson, he did just that! Patilla wowed the Michigan Camp as a blazing fast (4.65 40 electronic) and hard-hitting outside linebacker. He came away from camp without a Michigan scholarship offer -- but the U-M Coaching Staff didn't ponder on him long!
