Michigan commitment punter
Zoltan Mesko
has been named to the U.S. Army All American Game's East Team as punter and place kicker, and he was also was named to the USA Today Second Team All American Team.
Mesko had a great Michigan Camp, as an article in his local newspaper describes, and then he followed with a great senior season punting and place kicking.
Also in this story, we include what Zoltan told US, GoBlueWolverine, about his Michigan camp exploits.

Akron Beacon Journal
on U-M Commitment P
Zoltan Mesko
, including his exploits at the Michigan Camp this summer:
Some excerpts:
"The University of Southern California, the No. 1-ranked team in the nation, still pursues Mesko despite his oral commitment to the Wolverines."
"... during Michigan's camp June 28, Mesko delivered a performance that garnered his scholarship. He saw fifth-year punter Adam Finley practicing by booting balls on the roof of UM's indoor practice facility. Finley's balls sailed halfway over. Mesko decided he'd give it a shot and kicked four in a row over the building."
"This season, Mesko averaged 43.6 yards on punts with a 4.4-second hang time average. Thirteen of his punts were greater than 50 yards. His longest was a 71-yard bomb. He also connected on 8-of-12 field-goal attempts, his longest 47 yards."
"Here's a kid, by sheer size and leg strength, he's going to continue to get better,' Copley coach Dan Boarman said."
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
And here is what Zoltan told GoBlueWolverine about his Michigan Camp performance -- where he was offered a scholarship and shortly after committed to U-M:
"Well I'm a punter. So (at the U-M Kicking Camp) for the punters they charted 20 punts in all ... ten at the begninning of the camp, and ten at end. My average distance was distance 48.5 yards. And it's my hang time that really got their attention -- my average hang time was 5.0 seconds. I have good flexibility, that's how I get the hang time. I was one of the five longest field goal kickers as well, but I'm really a punter."
