David Moosman Breaks It: It's Michigan!

Illinois Offensive Lineman becomes Michigan commitment #17!

Here is what David told GoBlueWolverine late Sunday afternoon!
GoBlueWolverine has confirmation that Moosman's ready to go public! And join his friends Cory Zirbel and Mark Ortmann as Michigan O-linemen!

Offensive lineman David Moosman (Dec. 10 official visit, '04 U-M Camper, 6-3, 260 lbs., 5.3 in the 40, 360 lb. bench press, 2.9 GPA/26 ACT) from Libertyville, Ill. has committed to Michigan over Wisconsin!

Moosman had told GBW in an interview just a few days ago that it was Michigan at the top for him, but that he wasn't QUITE ready to announce ... he'd told us he thought the announcement might come Tuesday. But, he told us late Sunday afternoon, he couldn't wait!

"I didn't take a visit this weekend, so today I just decided to get it over with!"

"So I talked to both Wisconsin and Michigan coaches -- and I committed to Michigan!"

"Even though my mom is an MSU grad, she's thrilled for me!"

And he reminded us, "I'm having shoulder surgery on January 7." Due to the shoulder (he'd injured it as a junior and then re-injured it this fall) his senior season was perhaps not quite as dominent as his juniorcampaign -- but he showed Michigan at their summer camp this past June that he is an athletic, flexible, strong O-lineman -- a 'mauler-type'.

Moosman is Scout.com's #31 Midwest prospect and #16 offensive lineman.
