Quarterback
Robbie Schoenhoft
from St. Xavier high school in Cincinnati returned from the Michigan camp with the Wolverines squarely in the lead. All that was left were visits to Notre Dame and Florida. He made it to South Bend alright. GoBlueWolverine Magazine spoke with Schoenhoft's mom Tuesday evening regarding the Florida trip.
"I'm not so sure he's going to Florida this weekend,"
Rob Schoenhoft
's mom said. "He's hardly ever here, you know teenagers, so we need to talk to find out whether or not he's going."
The 6 foot 6, 235-pound Schoenhoft is still planning on making his announcement at the Elite 11 camp at the end of this month. Last time GBW spoke with him he had Michigan "way up there" on his list. The visits to Notre Dame and Florida camps, it seemed, were the only obstacles to a Wolverine pledge. The trip to South Bend didn't turn out as he expected. "If they offered, they'd be up at the top and make things more complicated," Schoenhoft told IrishEyes. "I'm kind of tired of waiting. That has kind of turned me off them a little bit."
Besides Notre Dame and Michigan, Schoenhoft also lists Michigan State and Ohio State as favorites. He is getting pressure from the home folks as he told Bucknuts.com, “Ohio State has to have the biggest fan base in the nation. I was at work today and a guy came up and said, `You’re Rob Schoenhoft? Hey, you should go to Ohio State. It’s a neat place.”
GBW will be catching up with Schoenhoft soon to confirm these events.
