Recruiting Open House Attendee Xavier Fulton

Big defensive tackle Xavier Fulton from Homewood, Ill., Homewood-Flossmoor is a new prospect for the 'radar screen', but Big Ten schools are getting the message fast.

I talked this noon to the parents of Defensive tackle Xavier Fulton (6-5, 265 lbs., 4.8 in the 40) from Homewood, Ill., Homewood-Flossmoor.

Did Xavier make it to the Michigan Open House Saturday?

"Yes. First we went to Michigan State Friday, then we went on to Michigan on Saturday. State made him a scholarship offer."

Who else has offered Xavier?

"Illinois offered Xavier first, then Indiana, we're told Wisconsin is apparently offering, and then on Friday Michigan State offered. And we are going to Purdue for a visit on Saturday."

How did the Michigan Open House go?

"Great. We talked to Coach Carr. He said he is very interested inXavier and told us he would be watching him closely. Xavier's Michigan recruiter Andy Moeller was our host and guide for the day, and took us around. We also spent a lot of time with the Michigan D-line coach and recruiting coordinator Bill Sheridan. We talked to both of them at length, and they said they are very interested in "Xav." All in all it was a great weekend."

Xavier himself is at school lifting and practicing right now; we'll have him call you."

Fulton is TheInsiders.com's #70 Big Ten Area prospect.
