COLUMBUS, Ohio – Detroit Cass Tech 2016 cornerback LaVert Hill
showcased why he is one of the top up and coming prospects from the Great Lakes' State in Sunday's Nike Football Training Combine in Columbus.
The Cass Tech standout was in the middle of the action all day proofing that he is indeed a true cover corner with multiple pass break-ups, blanketing his competition.
"I did pretty well," said Hill, who stands at 5-fooot-11, 165-pounds. "There was some good competition out here. I learned some stuff from the coaches. This was a great experience overall."
At the moment, Hill doesn't hold any offers. However, he says top schools are starting to take interest.
"Ohio State, Iowa, Michigan State and Michigan," Hill said on schools showing interest.
Hill continued: "All of them are good programs. The schools are pretty good. So I will have to look into it."
Hill's older brother, Delano, just finished his freshman season at Michigan. So naturally there is some mutual interest in the Wolverines.
"They have just been telling me to work hard and they will be looking at me," said Hill.
Up next for Hill, is camp season with his Cass Tech teammates, and Michigan is a potential stop.
