ANN ARBOR -- Michigan senior wide receiver Jeremy Gallon addressed the media on Wednsday. See what the Wolverines starting wide out had to say below.

On the impact of losing Darboh: “It changes a little bit. He’s a big factor to the offense. He made an impact on the offense. You have to have the younger guys step up then and not take his place and start where he left off.”

On who will be the other starting wide out: “I’m just trying to get the younger guys to step up and pick up where we left off and keep everything going.”

What did Darboh bring that others will need to replace: “He blocked everything. He blocked in catching deep balls. He was catching everything – doing what the coaches wanted him to do for the team. We just need the younger guys to do that. Which they have.”

Other deep ball threats: “Jehu (Chesson) especially backing him up. Jeremy Jackson and the rest of the guys that were working his position.”

On recruiting taller wide receivers: “I feel like size doesn’t matter. So whatever he decides to recruit I am fine with it.”

On doing “dirty work” as a receiver: “I think for me I just love doing what other people don’t, you know? I mean, I love blocking. I’ve been doing it since forever. It’s just important to see what the receiver does without the ball in his hand. I just feel like that we have here.”

On connection with Devin Gardner: “It’s like two bothers playing backyard football. Our relationship is very strong with each other. And it’s starting to grow with the other receivers – which is a good thing. Just our connection will make everything better when game time comes.”

On getting stronger or leaner: “I lost weight but gaining muscle mass … I have been working hard every day. I’ve been working out. I feel like I’ve been Wellman-ized since he’s been here.”

On having a 1,000 yards or 100 catches this season: “I just a team player. I want to win every game. I want a championship. I want these seniors to go out with a bang. I want these underclassman to live up to the expectations of winning championships and what it takes to win one and what it takes to be a champion. Or what it feel like to be a champion.”
