Nicholson Trims List

Monroeville (PA) Gateway four-star safety Montae Nicholson has put together an impressive scholarship list, with over 30 offers to his credit. In an effort to narrow things down to a working number, Nicholson has cut that list to 12 schools.

Montae Nicholson has just returned from a successful performance in Oregon at The Opening, and the Monroeville (PA) Gateway four-star safety has cut his list to 12 schools.

Nicholson, 6-foot-3, 200-pounds, holds over 30 scholarship offers. He is listed as the number-12 safety prospect in the country.

"I have cut my list to 12 schools, and I want them listed alphabetically," Nicholson stated Tuesday evening. "They are Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Oregon, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Stanford, Temple, Virginia Tech and West Virginia."

"I plan on making my decision soon after my season ends, or it could be before," he added. "I will be taking all five official visits in the fall, but I'm not sure which schools they will be at this time. As I've stated earlier, academics will play a big part in this decision. I also want to thank all the schools that have recruited me throughout this process."

Although he will be playing in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl next January in San Antonio, Nicholson stressed that he will not be announcing at the game, preferring to have his decision finalized well before that time.

FOXSportsNEXT will continue to track Nicholson's recruitment until his decision is made. Recommended Stories
