Clairton (PA) Jefferson LB, Chase Winovich informed GoBlueWolverine Friday evening that a decision would be coming down within 24 hours.  The Keystone State star will decide between Michigan, Pittsburgh, and Ohio State.

For weeks Chase Winovich had been saying that a verbal commitment could come in June.  With June now here, he doesn’t plan to waste much time making the call.

“Just a heads up… I may decide tomorrow,” Winovich texted Friday evening.

Later he removed any lingering uncertainty regarding timing and indicated a decision will be coming Saturday evening.

That news comes on the heels of a Tuesday visit to Pittsburgh and his decision not to make a return visit to Ohio State this weekend.  With multiple trips to all three of his favorites under his belt the three-star backer has all the information he needs to make his choice.  Prior to his Pitt visit he underscored the difficulty of sorting through all of the data, but alluded to a favorite starting to emerge.

“It’s definitely becoming a tougher decision with the more I look into schools, but at the same time, in retrospect, it’s becoming clear what I want and where I see myself  one year from now, but also 50 years from now,” he said.  “Where am I going to be proud to say I go? So I think it’s clearing up that a little better. I’m getting a better viewpoint into the whole recruiting process.”

Look for Winovich to remove all the guesswork later today.  In the meantime, for a detailed handicapping of how we think this recruitment will end, click here.
