James Daniels is a 6'3, 250-lb center just coming off a sophomore year, his first full varsity year, where he started every game and did not give up a single sack, even against Ohio State commit Billy Price.
"My freshman year, I played a couple snaps on varsity. Last year, where I started every game, I think I did pretty good because my first game, the person in front of me was going to Ohio State. I had to get it together real fast or else I'd get beat."
After a successful campaign, Daniels has already started hearing from colleges, and has a scholarship offer to his name already.
"Bowling Green offered me. I was pretty excited, but also, me getting the offer showed me how I have to work harder. I've been there once and the coach came down, I think a month ago. The wide receivers coach came down."
Daniels is hearing from others as well.
"West Virginia has been giving me mail, and schools want me to come in the spring to spring practice like Ohio State, Michigan, and Michigan State. I plan on visiting [all three]."
Another school that figures to play a part in his recruitment is Iowa, where his older brother Leshun signed in this class as a running back.
"They gave me a questionnaire to fill out," he said of the Hawkeyes, "not really anything much yet."
