Michigan State hosted several top junior targets today including Southfield High defensive end Lawrence Marshall, who came to campus already with a Michigan State offer.
"It went great today. I got a tour of the campus, they showed me around, and I talked to Coach Dantonio again."
The 6'4, 220-lb Marshall has been to campus a couple times, but did get to experience some new parts of life at Michigan State today.
"We toured the whole campus today and went to basketball game after that. It's nice and big. There are a lot of people that go to the school, and a lot of walking to do at the school."
Then Marshall got to build a stronger relationship with the staff.
"I talked to the defensive coordinator, Coach Narduzzi. He was saying like me at outside playing the nine, and more on the outside if I go to school there and that's what I like. Coach D was saying the same thing."
The Spartans currently sit in Marshall's top three along with Ohio State and Michigan. He is not expecting to decide any time soon and the Spartans are not pushing him to.
"Coach Dantonio is letting me do my own thing, not putting any pressure on. A couple coaches were, but it was all good."
Marshall has no other junior days planned, but is expected to hear from another school soon.
"Urban Meyer is coming to my school tomorrow."
