It was a third thorn for the Wisconsin football program, as the Badgers - despite an opportunity to win late - fall to No.8 Stanford, 20-14, in the 99th Rose Bowl. Badger Nation photographer Matt Fleming tells us his story of the Granddaddy of them All.

Wisconsin Defensive End Brendan Kelly (#97) tackles Stanford running back Stepfan Taylor in the first quarter. (Fleming/13)
Tailback Melvin Gordon (#25) runs for a first down. Gordon finished with 51 rushing yards. (Fleming/13)
