U-M ran out to a 35-21 halftime lead, then hit 15 in a row in the second half to coast to the win. Trey Burke led U-M with 20 points on 8-11 shooting and 7 assists.
The game started tight, with U-M holding just a 13-11 lead at the 11 minute mark.
Then
Mitch McGary
hit a layin and
Trey Burke
a triple and U-M opened an 18-11 lead at the 10:20 mark.
The teams traded baskets, and it was 20-15 at the 7 minute mark.
U-M went on a 7-0 run behind a 3 point play by
Tim Hardaway
and layins by
Glenn Robinson
and
Jordan Morgan
to extend the lead to 27-15 at the 4 minute mark.
Caris Lavert and Nik Stauskas hit tre's to lead U-M on a 8-2 run and a 35-17 lead at the 1:30 mark.
WMU hit the next 4, and it was 35-21 at the half.
Burke led U-M with 10 first half points, and U-M shot 50% and were 3-10 in triples.

After trading hoops to start the half, U-M got dunks by McGary and Burke to stretch the lead to 42-26 at the 15:15 mark.
U-M went on a 9-0 run as Stauskas hit a triple and Robinson and Burke hit 3 point plays, and U-M expanded the lead to 51-28 at the 13 minute mark.
WMU hit the next 6 to make it 51-34 at the It was 51-30 at the 11:00 mark.
The teams traded baskets, then U-M went on an 12-0 run with McGary dunking and Morgan laying it in to make it 63-36 at the 5 minute mark.
Hardaway hit a triple, and Burke another, as U-M made it 69-36 at the 3:30 mark.
It was all academic from there, and U-M coasted to a 73-41 win.
Trey Burke led U-M with 20 points on 8-11 shooting and 7 assists. Nik Stauskas added 11 points and Mitch McGary 10. U-M shot 50% and 38.1% (8-21) in triples.
