For the third time this season Michigan State running back Le’Veon Bell has been named Offensive Player of the Week.
Bell, who rushed for a career-high 266 yards (sixth-highest single-game total in school history) and a touchdown during the Spartans win over Minnesota, was the main reason the Spartans earned their sixth victory of the season making them bowl eligible.
This was Bell’s third career 200-yard rushing day (all this season) having rushed for 210 yards against Boise State and 253 against Eastern Michigan.
Bell also cracked the Big Ten’s top 10 single-season record for rushing attempts with 350 and all-purpose plays with 387 this season.
