McCaffrey Dominates

2014 RB Christian McCaffrey has monster night to help move his Valor Christian squad to the 5A semifinals.

Last night, in the quarterfinals of the Colorado playoffs, 2014 prospect Christian McCaffrey put together his best game of the season rushing for over 290 yards and grabbing eight receptions for over 100 yards. All told, McCaffrey accounted for six total touchdowns while averaging 20 yards a carry as his Valor squad defeated Arapahoe 49 to 18.

Running behind a talented young offensive line, not only did McCaffrey have a field day but also senior power back Daryl Hawkins who ran for 127 yards. Many of Hawkins yards came at the end of the game, moving the chains as the Eagles iced the victory.

Only a junior, much of McCaffrey's and Valor's offensive success has come behind a line highlighted by junior tackles Isaiah Holland and Alec Ruth. The bookends, both 6-6 300 pounds, will, along with McCaffrey, be three of the most sought after prospects in Colorado for the class of 2014.

Next week, in a much anticipated semi, Valor Christian will face Highlands Ranch ThunderRidge High School, a team that has spent much of the season ranked #1 in 5A. The Grizzlies, who are prolific on offense in their own right, having scored over 50 points multiple times this season, will have to keep up with the Valor O to move to the final.
