Lee Takes First Purdue Visit

Lawrence Central (Ind.) junior linebacker Brandon Lee talks about his visit to Purdue on Saturday.

On Friday, Lawrence Central defeated North Central to continue their undefeated season and their run towards a state title. Junior linebacker Brandon Lee has been a big part of that success, and has earned several scholarship offers in the process.

On Saturday, the 6'3, 220-lb Lee visited one of the schools who has extended an offer, the Purdue Boilermakers, for their game against Penn State.

"The Purdue visit was pretty good since I've never been there before," he said.

The home team did not come out on top, but Lee says he still saw signs of the bright future in West Lafayette.

"Even though they lost, I can tell that the program is moving in the right direction, just missing little pieces."

It was also an opportunity for Lee to speak with the coaching staff at Purdue, and continue to build a relationship with them.

"I got to talk to my position coach, Coach Landholm and the defensive coordinator, Coach Tibesar. We just spoke casually and since I already have an offer, they spoke with me on how I could contribute to their defense and their team."

Lee currently has additional offers from Ball State, Indiana, Iowa and Kentucky. He also has interest from a host of additional schools including Alabama, Florida, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska and Notre Dame.

The Bears take on Indianapolis Pike this weekend.
