The Illini added the fourth verbal commitment of the 2013 class Thursday afternoon.

Illinois moved on from Demetrius Jackson rather quickly.

A week after losing out on the five-star point guard to Notre Dame, coach John Groce and his staff received a verbal commitment from Jaylon Tate, as first reported by @ChicagoHoops.

Tate's AAU coach, Harold Gause, confirmed the commitment to Fox Sports recruiting analyst Brian Snow shortly after initial reports surfaced.

A 6-2, 180-pound three-star prospect, Tate is the high school teammate of current Illinois commitment Kendrick Nunn.

Those two, joined by center Maverick Morgan (Springboro, Ohio) and guard Malcolm Hill (Belleville, Ill.) comprise the Illini 2013 class.

IlliniPlaybook will have more on this developing story soon.
