Bama basically handled Michigan in the first half ... here are the drives and stats.

FIRST QUARTER

Alabama #1

Bama took the ball at their 2 and went 3 and out.

Michigan #1

Jeremy Gallon took the punt at the U-M 21.

On 2nd down Denard hit Vincent Smith on a swing pass to the 31; on 3rd down Smith got the 1D at the 32.

After a personal foul on Taylor Lewan the drive died at the 6:26 mark.

Alabama #2

Bama returned the punt to the Bama 38 at the 11:18 mark. (Blake Countess out, knee)

Two Eddie Lacy runs for the first down at the 50.

On 2nd and 8, Bama completed a pass to the U-M 29.

On the next play T.J. Yeldon ran to the 15.

Two Yeldon runs to the 5.

Two plays later Bama threw for the TD at the 6:56 mark.

Michigan #2

Dennis Norfleet took the kickoff to the U-M 30.

U-M went 3 and out at the 5:57 mark.

Bama took the punt to the Bama 33.

On 2nd down Fowler ran to the 49.

On the next play, TD bomb at the 4:59 mark.

Michigan #3

Norfleet took the kickoff to the U-M 24.

After a Gallon swing pass for 8, U-M ran to the 35.

After a hold on Lewan, Denard threw an int at the 50, it was returned to the U-M 17 at the 2:15 mark (Denard made the tackle, hurting his right shoulder).

On 3rd and 2, Lacy ran it in at the 1:24 mark.

Norfleet took the kickoff to the U-M 26.

After a Gallon screen pass for 9, on 3rd and 1 Denard ran to the 38.

The drive stalled at the U-M 38.

On the 1st play Yeldon ran it 42 to the U-M 26.

After a penalty, on 3rd and 18 a screen took it 26 to the U-M 8.

U-M held, and Bama kicked a 25 yard field goal at the 9:54 mark.

Norfleet had a good return but a flag took it back to the U-M 5.

On 3rd down, Denard threw a pick 6 at the 4:31 mark.
