Orleans (Ont.) St. Peter receiver Tyrone Pierre has paid a lot of attention to the collegiate game in America from his native Canada.
It’s why it’s no surprise that the Ottawa-area native has Oklahoma State as his dream school.
“I love schools that throw the ball and I’d have to say that Oklahoma State is my dream school for that,” said Pierre. “I like their receivers, I pattern my game after Justin Blackmon, and they have good coaches and they throw the ball.”
The 2014 prospect said he also likes schools across the country.
“I’m also interested in UCLA, USC, LSU and Texas and this summer I’m going to go to Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Michigan, Michigan State and maybe a few more,” said Pierre.
Pierre said that aside from Oklahoma State, he’s looking at schools primarily in the Eastern part of the country as well as UCLA, where his good friend and former workout partner, Eli Ankou, is headed.
“I worked out with Eli for two years and trained with him and he mentored me and kept me in check, made sure I did my job and had my priorities right,” said Pierre.
Pierre said with two years until he’ll sign, he’ll take in the recruiting process slowly.
“I have a while till I sign so I’m just working on my grades and doing well in school,” said Pierre.
