His Recruiting Story
Michigan once again dipped into Missouri for a recruit, bolstering both wide receiver depth and height. Chesson broke onto the scene with a breakout Missouri camp; he soon followed that up with another outstanding camp performance earning an offensive honorable mention during the U.S. Army National Combine. Jehu also posted an excellent senior season where he finished with 53 receptions for 757 yards and six touchdowns, on a team that predominantly uses a ground game and a back that had 1,800 yards rushing. His performance earned him scholarship offers from the likes of UCLA, Oklahoma State, Iowa, in-state Missouri, and several others. He received All-State honors during both his junior and senior seasons.

His Commitment Comments
"At Michigan, I can still get a great education, and football wise, still do what I want to do. It seemed like the smart thing to choose and with God's grace, I was in the right position."

GoBlueWolverine Commentary
"Tall, lanky receiver who can go up and get the ball. Snatches it easily out of the air, but lets too many underneath passes get into his body. Great natural athlete with good leaping ability and straight line speed, but is not an elusive guy after the catch. Must add some bulk and strength, but is tough and willing to go over the middle and make catches" - Allen Trieu.
