The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is an annual showcase of some of the top high school football talent across the country. In 2012, five future wolverines made their way to San Antonio, Texas to take part. One of the more vocal members of the Wolverine quintet was four-star defensive tackle and, Ondre Pipkins. “Pee Wee” displayed great leadership throughout the week in practice and drew rave reviews from coaches and scouts in attendance.
Aside from the practices and game itself, the players fortunate enough to participate are treated to an experience of a lifetime. Players are exposed to true American heroes, members of the United States Army.
They also have the chance to meet and forge relationships with many other of the nation’s top prospects.
Pipkins provided GoBlueWolverine with a video diary of his experience, capturing footage with some of his future teammates while also pulling a few pranks during down time.
Part one of the series introduces wolverine fans to the personal side of the recruit as Pipkins attempts to pack, get's a workout in and previews what's on tap for tomorrow.
