Saturday night found Michigan pledge Joe Bolden battling until the final whistle blew as Cincinnati …
Bolden Takes In Michigan Win
"It was a good game," Bolden told GoBlueWolverine. "Michigan did everything. They forced turnovers, they scored on every opportunity they had. It was just a great overall game."
Bolden took in his first game at Michigan Stadium earlier this year, and the experience just gets more fulfilling.
"It's even better. Every time I make the trip up, it gets closer and closer to actually go and being a student and football player up there. It just gets sweeter and sweeter."
Bolden will be one of the early entries for the Wolverines this year.
"Yes. I'll begin school at the start of January."
Bolden has plans to utilize his early enrollment to his advantage.
"I'm going to use every opportunity I can to get on the field. I'm a guy who hates standing on the sideline. For instance this year, I hated seeing my offense on the field because I wanted to be on the field and I feel that I can help the team. I think getting up there early will help me with school and getting me positioned and orientated with everything going on there and how to balance school and football as well as getting the playbook. I don't want to miss a beat with spring practice."
Due to a strong senior season, Bolden saw a rise in his rankings, and was invited to be a high school All-American in the Under Armor game.
"It's a great honor. I've been blessed with the opportunity to play in it and I'm going to make the best out of it for Colerain High School as well as the University of Michigan. It's definitely big. It's on national television and you're playing with a whole bunch of recruits of the same caliber and you get to show what Michigan is going to be. It's a great opportunity."
A top prospect in the Buckeye State, Bolden also put in a little recruiting work on his fellow Buckeye State star, Bri'onte Dunn.
"I talked to him a little bit. It's the first time I've ever talked to him so I wasn't going to be pushy, that's just how I am. I just wanted to introduce myself. I did let him know that there is no place like the University of Michigan, so maybe that hit home, and his cousin was there and was in his ear the whole time too."
Bolden and the likes would love to add Dunn to an already solid class, which is ranked by some as the top in the country, and the class stays very connected and close to each other.
"I think it's definitely… It says something big about our class and how committed and close our class is to one another and the University of Michigan. Twitter and Facebook has helped, and it's helped each and every one of us get in contact with everyone else and other prospects as well."
Bolden will again try to visit Ann Arbor for The Game on Saturday, but is waiting for final confirmation.
"I have not decided yet. It all depends, I've got a pretty big family and we don't always have someone to watch my little brothers, so it all depends on that too."
