Sam Webb: Let us start off first going back to your high school season. How did things go for your team?
Christopher Fox: "We did pretty decent. We almost made it to state. We made it to the semifinals of the playoffs. We had the #1 defense in 4A football in Colorado. Our offense was defense, did alright on offense."
Sam Webb: I know not many schools keep stats for lineman, but individually how do you think you performed last year?
Christopher Fox: "I think I did really good. I was named the Air Force Sophomore All American."
Sam Webb: What is your current height, weight and 40 time?
Christopher Fox: "I'm about 6'6", 300 and I don't know my 40."
Sam Webb: Pretend for a second you're a scout or you're a coach in the stands and you're watching yourself on the football field… sort of break down your game and give me a scouting report?
Christopher Fox: "If I was sitting in the stands I would say he is a big kid, he hustles every play. He goes to the whistle. He loves to hit people. He has a good motor, never quits and just does his job."
Sam Webb: Those traits were definitely on display at Michigan's camp. Have the Wolverines offered you a scholarship?
Christopher Fox: "I actually just got off the phone (Wednesday evening) with Coach Hoke and Coach Funk and they just offered me."
Sam Webb: What position did they offer you for?
Christopher Fox: "I can play anywhere on the O-line except center. Well, I could do center, it is just I have never done it before. Guard and tackle mainly."
Sam Webb: What about Coach Funk's coaching style? How did you mesh with that?
Christopher Fox: "I love his coaching style. He is intense. He's a great guy. I love him coaching me. He taught me a lot of new stuff that I didn't know and he is a great coach."
Sam Webb: Give me your initial reaction… what do you think of the offer and what do you think of the Wolverines?
Christopher Fox: "I definitely love Michigan. It would be awesome to go there. I was extremely excited when they offered me because it is definitely Michigan and they are huge. It is just really great news."
Sam Webb: You're obviously from Colorado. What made you interested enough Michigan to come across the country to attend camp?
Christopher Fox: "They've always had a great program there and I got quite a bit of family that lives up there in Michigan. I've always liked Michigan."
Sam Webb: Do you have any other offers on the table right now?
Christopher Fox: "Yeah, (Colorado) offered me. They offered me a couple of weeks ago."
Sam Webb: Is there a particular style of offense you are looking for? Obviously, Michigan is a more conventional style of offense… other schools run spreads. Do you have a preference?
Christopher Fox: "It doesn't matter really to me. I just like to smash people in the mouth and get after it."
Sam Webb: When you get ready to sit down and make your decision, what are going to be the most significant factors in that choice?
Christopher Fox: "Coaching staff for one, location wherever that might be. That I like where I'm living. The other players on the team, I have to like them, if they are cool guys and fun guys to hang out with. Just wherever I fit best pretty much."
Sam Webb: I know it is kind of early, but do you have a top school or favorite at this point?
Christopher Fox: "Not really. Pretty much wherever I fit best."
Sam Webb: Understanding that it is a fluid situation and can change but right now, but do you have a top group of schools right now?
Christopher Fox: "There has been only two schools to offer me so definitely those two, Michigan and CU. Then it's wherever else I might go and happen to like."
Sam Webb: Have you given any thought to a timeline for how you would like to have this play out?
Christopher Fox: "No we haven't. When it feels right and I know that is where I want to go that is when I will make my decision."
Sam Webb: It is possible that you might not wait until your senior year?
Christopher Fox: "Yeah it is definitely a possibility."
